What information do we collect?

The LIPID MAPS Consortium is committed to providing quality information and services to the scientific community. In order to do this, we need to know a little about the visitors to our website. We collect only the domain name and any additional information volunteered by the visitor, such as their email address. We also collect aggregate and user-specific information on what which pages are accessed or visited. The information we collect is used for internal review, to improve the content of our web pages and hardware infrastructure, and to also justify continued support of Lipid Maps. We may also notify visitors about updates to the website.

Your privacy is important to us

We strive to do everything we can to protect the privacy of our users. We do not sell or exchange personally identifiable information with any third parties. From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes on our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, we recommend that you review this privacy statement periodically, as LIPID MAPS may update it from time to time. If you would like to ensure that you are not contacted by us as a result of having used our site, or if you feel that this site is not following its stated information policy, please contact us at webmaster@lipidomics.org.
