Introduction
Bone marrow-derived macrophages were obtained from tibias and femurs of mice as per protocol PP0000004702 (Harvesting and Plating Thioglycollate Elicited Macrophages for LM Distribution, pdf). Cells treatments consisted of a) Control (no treatment); b) treatment with 25-OH-cholesterol at time 0; c) lipid-depleted media containing compactin; d) treatment with 25-OH-cholesterol at time 0 in lipid-depleted media containing compactin.
Data normalization
Data normalization was performed as described in J Mol Endocrinol Sasik et al. 33 (1): 1 (PDF)
