Catalytic Activity Acyl-CoA + 1,2-diacylglycerol = CoA + triacylglycerol.
Function Essential acyltransferase that catalyzes the terminal and only committed step in triacylglycerol synthesis by using diacylglycerol and fatty acyl CoA as substrates.
